I used to auto-feed New Life Spectrum pellets into a feed ring. It worked well.

I use Ocean Nutrition Formula One pellets. I've never had a fish not eat it and it's dry enough that the pellets do not stick or clump. I've got a whole tin of New Era and while softer than O.N. the pellets don't seem to stick together but I have yet to have single fish touch the stuff.

I use the new life spectrum as well in my automatic feeder when I'm on holidays works great, doesn't get stuck up in the feeder and sinks at a good rate

+ 1 on New Era!

NLS is another good choice.

You could probably feed whatever food you like if you used a feeding ring.....I would personally use new era or ocean nutrition(if you can find it) over NLS for reasons I won't go into here

I use both in the auto feeder and it seem to work great when you mix them together.
