Fuzzy green and purple algae

Hi there,

I am growing a bunch of fuzzy green and purple algae. I have chaeto in my sump to try and remove any nutrients that they like but they don't seem to be disappearing. Is there some livestock that I can get that will eat it? Or is it really just going to take some elbow grease?

could be sponges but without pics i am only guessing
