I'm not criticizing the mount but thought I would add that users might love to have each light mounted to a collar so that you can slide each light along the rail. no holes would be a good thing. you could have a set screw on the top of the collar too.

Okay, lets say a soccer ball happens to fly across the room and hit the top of the light stand. (May or may not have happened to me) Would it just fall backwards then upending my expensive LED system (Possibly into my tank). Even if it is made perfectly for my tank, if there isn't a tightening system, any bump may cause a "need new LED syndrome"

Its pretty heavy so its going nowhere. However we will look at your tightening screw idea and see if it cannot be implemented somehow.

Exactly. That's ridiculous. How do these work with basketballs though? I had a bit of an incident this weekend...

I for one love the idea. The sliding clips or brackets could work as well but keep in mind powdercoated or painted that would surely wear overtime.

Also our welding shop powder coats and paints our products and honestly I see more longevity out of the paint then the powder coat. Also if I'm not mistaken its a marine grade paint correct Greg? Not spraypaint per se but done with an air sprayer, and what 2-3 coats I think you told me once
