Early on in my Xbox addiction I had the rrod had to send it away cow warranty. 6 months later it happened again and I had to send it away again my wife forced me to buy a second Xbox to stop my wining so I had two which was Connie isn't cause the wife enjoyed trying to kill me on gta4. Recently I purchased the new version and love it and sent one downstairs to the daycare the kids love the kinect so now I have 3 running and it's great I can play the daycare kids (kid friendly games) and found it was cheaper to get the family pa k than individual memberships. If you can get ahold of the new console it would be highly recommended. I also use the headset for my phones Bluetooth I can switch from game to a call without missing a best lol

Yes I'm a chronic have the ps3 as well but rarely use it

Wrap up your Xbox with a bunch of towels or blankets.
Turn it on and let it over heat.
After a while it will get hot and shut itself off
Wait for it to cool down.

Fixed!!!

I've done it myself and know of alot of others who have done the same. It might take a couple of tries but it does work. You've got nothing to lose in trying. Google it if you dont believe me.

Was also told you can put a toothpick in the fan to get it to overheat as well.

I was all set to call up one of these repair places... but thought I'd try this towel trick first. Finally just got around to trying it. It's working again. Let's see how long it lasts. Thanks for the tip.
