![]() Ouch sorry to hear man! Float valves in the RO reservoir should always be installed in my opinion. This has happened to a lot of people but is totally preventable.
Also, I would not use the float valve as your primary shut off. If you do you will burn out your membrane faster due to small in and off surges due to evap in the reservoir causing the float valve to move frequently. When you are done making RO I would still turn off the source water into your RO unit. |

Agreed. I always shut off the source water for a piece of mind. In my new build i'm even plumbing in emergency overflows that go right to a drain just in case. No more floods for me!

![]() Haha nope havent met them! Its in the utility room where my hot water tank, furnace and stacked washer/dryer is. I'm assuming their place is identical to mine so I woulda leaked into their utility room. No pictures yet.. Ill try to remember to take some.
