I've used the silverstars in the past. Loved them its what I plan to upgrade too when our FJ or truck needs them.

As far as lighting is concerned when you don't want to do an expensive ballast/HID upgrade, your best bet is definitly GE Nighthawk, or Sylvania Silverstar Ultra headlights. They are a lot better than stock bulbs for sure. You may also want to look at the whole headlight housing to make sure that its not yellowing or hazing. Some headlight lenses/housings tend to do this over time. Canadian tire also sells a polishing kit for these issues as well. I think its called headlight restore.

Please don't put hid bulbs into headlights without projectors. It blinds everyone else on the road. Just get silver star halogen bulbs

lol no worries no plans on going HID, I am looking into the sylania or GE, which ever is going to be the best long term I will go with, also yes the lamps are a bit yellow but only externally, I have some headlamp polish, so I will be doing this as well

thanks guys and gals

I used to run Silverstars but had to go back to regular lamps because everyone kept flashing their high beams at me when I would drive at night. Apparently there is such thing as being too bright. I tried lowering the focal points but it didn't matter, they were aimed correctly, just "too dang bright" apparently.
