What's the worst piece of equipment to clean in your tank?Mine's the Koralia power heads.I use a 1/2 inch copper fitting cleaner.works great but dam disgusting

Return pump was pretty sick last weekend. But my korilias were nasty too. It's a toss up for me.

I beleive it's Dez I think that can answer that question. A good skimmer that hasn't been cleaned in a while. Hands down

oh yeah! skimmer has my vote!

or a sump that was shut down and not cleaned out for a few months.

What about a running sump. How the heck do you manage to siphon that gunk out? Run a pump backwards some how? That's a nasty job I bet.

:P well yeah, but your sump would have to be higher then the bucket right? If its on the floor then what? I'd imagine either suck out the crud bit by bit with a turkey baster or else a small pump in reverse. I dont know how a gravity Fed siphon would work without gravity

Also yea skimmers are dirty work. Try getting your hands inside a tunze 9002 to clean it lol. Not pretty oh well, at least its a small unit to clean.
