Cuz my fish like to eat and always look like they are starving... I tried a HOB fuge but it was loud and splashed coming back into the tank, took it off to clean and well the bf broke it.
The tank has run fine until recently, maybe this is just catching up with me now....
You could always build one with a full siphon to quite the noise.
