but they will totally go up and over the filter sock when it fills up and start to overflow :-)

..well, okay, not all of them will. Some of them will cling onto the filter sock and you'll end up washing them out of the sock when you rinse it. You'll then make a desperate attempt to save the poor little guy by throwing him back into the display tank only to have him instantly gobbled up by your fish.. doh!
