Yup, tiger-cuddler here

Nope, no GAC here. GAC really only treats water cosmetically (taste and odor) but does nothing to make it safer. Our filter uses microporous membrane bundled (looks like plastic spaghetti) to physically remove bacteria, parasites and dirt from the water (99.99% removal), which reduces disease. Next year we'll be launching a filter that can do viruses as well.

The filter membranes don't need to be changed. As long as you backflush (the pumping action we showed), you can keep the membranes in clean working order. We've designed it to provide water daily for a family of 6 for 1 year (we guarantee it for a year but it could realistically last for a couple years if maintained). That's something on the order of 18,000 liters of water.

Wow, what a great idea! Congrats on the promo video, I think I might need one of these myself.

Do you have any patents. Is the basic filter a self pressurized RO?

Great idea by the way. One thing about the video is there seems to be too much talking with out telling much. If your gonna talk that long give details but i would suggest keeping it more simple.

Hope you the best with this....i like the entrepreneurism.

I do, I do. Several patents.

No, it's not RO. RO is nanofiltration and filters at the molecular level. Ours is microfiltration (0.2 um pores) and will eventually be ultrafiltration (0.02 um pores). So ours doesn't remove dissolved salts and minerals, just bacteria, dirt and parasites.

Congrats. I am very impressed indeed. Great to see young entrepreneurism alive and well here in Canada.

Just make sure you have the right contracts, disclaimers, and insurance in place when you manufacture and sell it. I can just see some idiot suing, claiming he got sick drinking water from your filter.

Solutions are easy. The real difficulty lies in discovering the problem.
