Couldn't you pipe in the fog from outside the tank? Or does it still get too warm that way?

(Mind you seems to me makes perfect sense to still put the fogger on a timer.)

Can't wait to see this evolve. One day I hope to try this too!

That wouldn't be a bad idea, just means you need to set up a water reservoir above the tank and direct the mist through the top.

They do have auto systems for pretty cheap that accomplish this, I found only the water that the fogger was submerged in heated, not the mist itself.

Yep, that is the main point of the project actually . At the water line where you can still see the egg crate through the coconut fiber will be bog plants and carnivorous plants and higher up, there are holes in the foam where ferns, mosses and other plants will be

Certain carnivorous plants will eat your frogs if they are small enough .
