I got my two fridges in place this weekend. The plan was to get proper front vented ones so they could be built in but unfortunately the choices came down to a lower priced Danby unit which was still over a $1000 a piece for a compressor that would likely fail after a year or better models for $1500-$2000+ a piece. Luckily we found a standard non-front vented Frigidaire model that only required 2" of clearance (most others are 5" +) which is something I can live with.

Next issue was they looked like this

Stainless steel isn't really something that fits in our house or our bar plans and these fridges don't have optional wood door kits.

So I took upon myself to remove all the stainless and fit a wood frame in it's place.

Routered the outside edge to be flush with the door, a little stain and two custom fridges in place for less than a $1000 combined.

They'll look built in once I trim around them.

Don't get too excited, they were on sale but a personal local favorite none the less, except for the lime.

I have not taken the tour, is it worth it?
