BRS Rox 0.8 for almost two years now without any issues. Love this stuff. I used to use Rowaphos before this and I HATED that stuff. Pain in the ass to rinse out and prep for the reactor. The Rox stuff still needs a bit of rinsing but doesn't take nearly as long to prep.

EDIT: Oops, getting my chems mixed up LOL. I meant that I previously used generic carbons from the LFS and Rowaphos. Rowaphos is a GFO not a carbon. Although rinsing that stuff is a pain, and rinsing the generic carbon was a pain as well!

hahah you are away from this hobby for so long. Anyway, I also use BRS rox 0.8 and has no problem for 2 years. I threw out my LFS carbon because they take longer to rinse and does not perform well against Rox.

Kent right now, but I have a bag of Vertex Rox 0.8 for when I'm out of the Kent.

Even before rinsing, I find Fluval has quite a bit of smaller pieces, so it tends to compact easily
Maybe I should try running it through a sieve or net first to get more uniform pieces

Thanks for all the input everyone
I guess price will decide for me
