![]() no, an individual CANNOT start the process of getting CITES
it has to be the exporting company that starts the process. and it is certainly not worth it at all for a couple of seahorses or SPS as it typically takes a month or two and a couple of hundred bucks at least for the company to do it. once again, you as the importer cannot start CITES. and 99.99 percent of stores will not do this for people has it is too complicated and expensive. only wholesalers typically will do this for stores that are ordering from them.
