The Alk value looks like a tap water value. Are you using tap? My kh was very high before I switched to RO/DI. Otherwise, I have no idea.

Default High kH

Hi,

I had a similar problem with Instant Ocean. I never was able to solve it so I switched to H20 and now I rarely have to adjust the KH or the Ca or the Mg -especially the Mg. It cost me $20.00/mo when using IO but with H20 I rarely have to add Mg.
