Pricing is $1,199 which is not bad considering the amount of LED's you get (over 70) which accounts for large light spread and of course the functionality.

Is there word on what the par ratings for these will be?
I'm still looking for a lighting option for my new 30" deep 6' tank. Ideally I want something that gives me at least 200 on the sand bed. Considering these don't have optics i'm assuming they may not have the punch i'm looking for but I could be wrong. |

In regards to spread, have a look at this photo specifically Randys Calves! Look how far away he is from the light and how bright the carpet around him is being illuminated!
 The lamp is a mere 12" off the water surface. The overspill is due to the tank only being 48" and the end unit right on the edge of the tank |
