You know, seeing all that snow in your Mar 2012 picture wasn't a very nice reminder for what will soon be upon us!

Good to see you on the building path with this Mindy! It must be that little trip we're making at the end of the week to Dallas that's got your tank Mojo kicking in again!

It appears you are correct! We are moving to Edmonton area as soon as we find a house to buy so it is likely this tank will be wet around mid-year. However, the tank was built for a specific spot in THIS house, so if it doesn't fit our upcoming house then this tank may hit the classifieds before it gets wet.

I was just looking back at pics. The framing pics outside on the first page were a year ago yesterday and there was no snow in the yard. Today we have 5' piles from shoveling walks and there is a good 2' in the middle of the yard. WTF?!?!?!

Yeah the tank should be transferred around July 2014. In all reality, I'm hoping by the end of October. After I come back from MACNA I'm headed to BC for a week to visit family.

I knew someone would comment about the Nova!

Yeah good call! I'm not sure I'm keen on the cha-ching factor of the Spectra though. However, if a good deal came up on a used fixture this "sale" shopper just might pounce! Your tank will be a nice shape too! I just didn't want the tank to stick out 24" (plus back gap). We have a pretty small house so we didn't want it to stick out much more than it already is.

Haha, thanks Darryl! I am pretty handy, but I am easily distracted!

I'm on a roll!!! Got the second coat inside the stand done (white semi-gloss outdoor), and got the first coat of paint on. I just used the paint pot tester I bought when I was picking the colors for the house walls. It's just a flat indoor paint. After 3 coats of this flat paint with light sanding between I will put 2 coats of satin finish polyurethane.

Looks like I will need to do some touch-up filling before I put the next coat of paint on.
