Do you need a controller or can you use a pc to control it?

You can control them with almost anything. Director software will be revealed at MACNA on September 28th. I am not sure if you still require a controller in order to use all of these devices but we will know real soon.

Just got some further information from AI. If you are using the director software on PC / Mac / iPhone / iPad / Android etc you do not need a wireless controller. The apps can control the vegas directly.

Also the new wireless controller can be used in a wired mode to control a Sol system

Can the vega be linked to the SOL and be controlled by the sol controller?

No the vega is wireless only. It does not have a wired data port.

If you wanted to do this you would have to get the vega and new wireless controller then control the whole system from the new controller. Alternatively you could get a vega and sol wireless adapter and control it all from a PC or iPhone. However vega cannot be controlled from the older wired controller.
