OK, some new pics ...

Here's a couple new pics of Smudge - maybe I should rename him Pudge

He just went through a 2" square of purple nori in less than 5 mins

Our newest addition doesn't have a name yet
The spots are worms on the glass

FYI ...

Adding an airstone to your QT makes a huge difference concerning pH

My aquaclear 50 just didn't cut it for gas exchange as my pH dipped below 7.8
I added an airstone and the pH came back up over 7.9 within the afternoon

I hope to see it back within normal ranges tomorrow

Nice addition, love the yellow eye kole's. You'll like him, tons of personality.Ph was always my problem with hypo, just could never seem to keep it up no matter what I did, thus my affinity for the tank transfer method for MI

Looks good. Mine is a little darker and very active although hes not interested in any food I offer which annoys me... instead he kicks up all the sand creating a sandstorm like I've never seen...

I remember being warned with my pistols creating storms, however this guy beats them all which is quite annoying to say the least as I keep looking at the 34gallon cube which is crystal clear and vs the 75 which is a white cloud in the afternoon.

Chris, our new Tang is in a barebottom QT, so I have no idea what will happen when it finds sand

Looks good.
How much lr do you have in the display? It looks awesome.
I'd love for my water to look as clean as yours, but I'll have to improvise and teach the tang some new tricks which don't include sand kicking.

I'll guess about 50lbs live and another 20lbs base

There's another 20lbs or so in the sump that I'm going to sell
I'll post it once it's weighed and in a tub ( thanks to Brett, Brad and Albert for the indirect encouragement to remove it )
