It is fine to have water in it. Denny has clarified this a couple of times. No worries.

My tank now has a 4" crack in the back of tank, out of no where

No choice now but to replace the tank. Lets all say it together now, SETBACK!

No idea, and looks like starphire tank wont work out either. I would have to buy a kit of 5 tanks for over $200 with shipping. So I may just DIY it since ive got a bunch of 6mm glass laying around.

I'd just hit up a standard 10 gallon tank and cut off the plastic trim
