![]() I'm terribly undecided.
This table is going to be used for a 24 gallon Nano Cube. I think I need to paint it black. ![]() Yes? No? This is for my Nano Contest Entry tank. If I need to paint it . . . the doors are plastic. Is there any paint that would do well on a variety of surfaces (plastic, laminate, plywood . . . ). I need to paint it, don't I? |

![]() I vote yes!
There are a number of paints out there for plastic, i have a few sitting in the garage, couldn't tell you what on earth they are called. |

![]() Will the Krylon Fusion for Plastic (http://www.krylon.com/products/fusion_for_plastic/) give a similar finish on both the plastic and the wood parts of the stand?
Or, would it be better to go with a brush on paint? Edit: Maybe this would be a better idea? http://www.krylon.com/products/color..._latex_enamel/ |

![]() Oh . . . painting this means I'd actually have two of these tables to paint. I've got a hexagonal table that matches it, which I will also use as an aquarium stand some day.

![]() Krylon Fusion works well, used it many times. I'd use the spray over the brush, it'll cost more but better finish. Personally don't like black very much but the stand looks like it needs a new finish and black is probably the best option.

![]() This table has been dragged from one end of the country to the other over 36 years. It needs a new finish.
![]() I really like the Black-Brown finish that Ikea offers a lot of things in. I'd try that, but the aquarium has a grey-ish (maybe gunmetal-ish) hood. Black would work better with that. |

![]() I agree with everyone it needs painting. If you don't like the black, how about another dark colour - dark blue, purple etc.

![]() Well, I picked up some paint on the way home, and some brushed nickel hardware. It should update it quite nicely . . . But I really dislike painting. I'll just keep myself focused on the end goal.
