![]() Yep the fixture would be perfect for a tank that size. You'll probably have to keep the output down though on an 18" deep tank. The spread will cover the 18" width perfectly.

![]() Sorry to hijack. But I too am considering this fixture, how is the "Disco" effect with the red and green LEDs? Also with no optics, how is it for light splash over an open top tank with no canopy?

![]() I run the Red's and Green's very low...especially the red. I just don’t like my Yellow Tang glowing orange, but that's just me. The lights have a 120 degree spread but since you mount them right around 6-8" off the water you do not get a lot of light escaping. When I swapped out my 6xT5 for a 36" SB I noticed that my tank was brighter but my room was a lot less lit up.
