I had a few in my tank and found they were good algae grazers. Mind you I had a big spaghetti worm out break so I cut back feeding and haven't seen one in a few months.

They like to come out at night.
I have a few myself and they are harmless, eat algae and leftover food. So good snail in my opinion.
