Seachem Calcium versus API Calcium test?

Seachem is definately the better quality product.

Can you bring your test kits over to a friends place locally to test against their kit and water parameters?

I'm out of the API test. The Seachem one was 1/2 price at a local shop, so I figured I'd try it instead of the API one.

I can certainly get a second opinion on my calcium level, and find other water to test.

Never had any luck with the API kit for the same reasons you describe, always read artificially high by at least 100-200ppm. Tried 2 API kits and both had the same issue.
