I injected mine with vinegar . They turned purple and died.

Did you do it in your display tank?

Vinegar is used for carbon dosing. Its safe to use but a large amount in your tank will cause a pH drop

Yup but I've got 250 gallons of water volume. Didn't notice any side effects
