I am already planning to get them. They say that the par # is 700 with the light hanging 1 ft above water line over a 30 deep and 30 wdth tank. Mine is not 30 deep but I would like to get a better spread and higher par #s

i have 5 ai sols on my tank. i have clams and 90% sps with good growth and color on a 30inch tank. im glad i went with the sols on this tank

I think 6 AIs would do the job, and they do have benefits over MH. But, you'll probably miss the look of the Radiums for a while. If you're concerned, you could add 8 units and switch them to all 40 degree optics, which would give you all the punch you needed to get 30" deep.
