I agree. The 2nd variation would make the most sense. Those MH will easily cover the width of the tank. 4 is a little overkill and you could easily get away with 3 x 250 if you wanted. Just thinking of the energy savings in your case. Either way, will work though.

Well I suppose that means that I wouldn't have to buy another light for the mangrove fuge. lol.
