I can say both has their own good and bads. My huge issue with Shaw is when you are in a populated area your HS internet will never get to where it suppose to be. However, with TELUS, unless you 1) never got any issues or 2) know who to talk to when you have problem, you will have nightmare at nite.

Both are bad and good. I finally ended up with Shaw after the 20th technician at Telus finally told me the truth (I am just a little to far from the exchange for ASDL to work correctly). My internet used to drop out during the day and come back on at night a symptom of signal fading on the line due to the increase of temperature during the day.

Also had some friends say Telus was terrible even in the new neighborhoods in Red Deer with fiber to the door. I seen it myself. The TV would go all fuzzy if the phone rang and stuff like that. They tried to cancel and told they were locked in a 3 year contract which they definitely did not agree to. Telus were unable to produce the audio recording of them agreeing to the 3 year contract so they got out of it in the end.
