![]() I would want a pod hunter, and algae eater.
For that size Lawnmower blenny and some kind of small hunting wrasse, 6 line would be cheap and effective. |

![]() I say get a blenny. Some of them do a great job on algea and pods and they do have quite a bit of character. A nice wrasse (giggitty) is another great idea.

![]() I would like a six line or the like but there is no sand and an open top so maybe a wrasse isnt the best idea. Why would I want a pod eater in there? I like the blenny idea

![]() Pods eat algae and occasionally become food for LPS coral so thats a good question, why would he want a pod eater in there? I've got two tail spot blennys in my frag tank but they like to have some live rock holes to hide in so that might not work for you. At one time I also had a canary wrasse (Halichoeres chrysus) in a 50gal frag tank for flatworm control. Since the tank was bare bottom like yours I included a small container with sand for it to burry in at night. However it would jump out whenever I startled it so unless your tank will have a covered top I'd stay away from wrasses.

![]() Some larger pods can annoy corals, especially zoas. Wrasses also help keep flatworms and other bad critters under control. I guess I should have been more specific, since I would not recommend a mandarin or anything like that.
