They are not too bright, I've seen some eat it and then die within a very short time afterwards. Either that or they hurry to find a powerhead to get sucked into.

Never heard of them eating cyano but mine at all the diatoms on the sand bed.....

Agreed I had one that I found stuck to a powerhead shortly after adding it
