Wondering what others are using.
Just go full DSLR, many are inexpensive and still have some nice auto shoot features, plus tonnes of options for lenses and upgrading when your ready. My DSLR has a macro option, just pick it, point and shoot, its makes some very nice pictures.

So looked into the DSLRs, new and used and really not what the wife or I was wanting so focused on the m4/3.

Big thing this on my list was low light use and wanted a hot-shoe. Found the Panasonic GF2 are being cleared out kitted with a 14mm f2.5 lens so bought it along with a 14-150mm. Only picked it up last night but no complaints so far and have 2 weeks to return if I do.

Interestingly seen today Costco has the Canon T3, with 18-55mm and 75-300mm for $589.

the lenses you went with are the best option. One low f prime for portraits etc. and a everyday zoom lense with a nice range. Way better options than the kit lens 18-55mm and a long zoom 75-300mm

The only thing that turns me off is no viewfinder (unless you buy an add on eletronic) and either small pop up flash or no built in flash (with option of buying an add on but can only use either the flash or the view finder).
