Chances are its the Cbb or cleaner

I found that feed the Cbb mussels every couple days kept it clear of clams but forget for a few days and they will nip. I found more so with new clam additions

took him out and sepent a while scrubing and even scraping him off and found a few snails so hopefuly got them all. i will see how he looks in the evening when the lights com back on if he isnt looking any better should i go ahead with a fw dip

Ifs its parasitic snails a freshwater dip won't work. You'll need to keep checking and cleaning the clam of snails to make sure that you get them all and any future generations that they may have started.

A melonarous wrasse or coris wrasse would be a huge help with parisiric snails
