is it normal of shipped frags for the water to be really stinky?

some frags ship worse then others... SPS is known for being a bad shipper... but it all depends... so many factors in shipment... was it tossed around, was it on the heat pack, was it no where near heat and froze... many factors!

Stinky water I wouldn't worry about. Coral if it's really stinky could be on the way out. If you have an extra sensitive nose don't get too worried even healthy corals have an odor.

25 but yes I went there, Xenia smells awful, I was tearing it up off a rock and then I pulled my hand out of the water to scratch my cheek..... unaware of the evil that awaited my unsuspecting nose..
