hitchhiking brittlestars...

i just picked up some live sand and discovered tiny little brittlestars (about 3/8 of an inch from tip to tip)can anybody tell me what they will eat ,how fast they will grow and if you think they will even live.Despite any undiscovered hitchhikers there is only lr and macroalgae in two week old 28 gallon .

I have tons of tiny brittlestars.. little white ones.. no clue what they eat, I assume ditrius etc.. the don't seem to grow all that big. I wouldn't even worry about it.. just more diversity..
