Either would look very nice. I like the idea of it being recessed into the edging. Get on it, we want to see ![]() If you decide to make the top of the fixture really flush, these PC fan grilles catch lots of dust and then you just vacuum them off I run them on my office tower and they don't create extra noise, even at 1600rpm ![]() ![]() |

These grilles/filters go between the fan and acrylic so all you see is the dome The holes are about 1.5mm. Avoid the ones with larger holes as you will get noise |

![]() Still thinking of the material, but leaning towards clear 1/2" polished acrylic. It would be nice if the light from the fixture would illuminate the edges of the bracket as well.

![]() How's the wood holding up? Mdf is probably the worse type to use near any water as it absorbs moisture and expand. Great looking top btw
