Default what size fishroom?

for the people that have dedicated fishrooms, what size is it? and what size display tank are you running?

pics would be awesome. as would links to builds.

i'm in the planning stage. i think. lol. i'm thinking a minimum of 180 gallons as a display.

thanks!

I'm running only an 80 gal DT in my living room with an 80 gal sump in my basement that's pretty much got an area 15X15 that's dedicated for my fish room. It's pretty messy right now as I just finished QT'ing a couple new fish and haven't had a chance to clean up after introducing them to the DT. I also have another 20 gal tank down there for a yellow watchman goby that seems to get picked on. Although the wife (who's been less than receptive about my tank so far) says the other day, "I feel bad for him, we should get another tank upstairs so he can be with everybody."

100 gallon display with a fishroom located in the basement. The room is basically the size of your average corner pantry measuring about 4' x 4'. More than enough space and could easily accommodate a much larger display.

I don't really understand the need for a large fishroom, what do you guys do in there?

If I could build my dream system, the "sump room" would have a TV and a La-Z-Boy recliner And a fridge.

Sweet!

In my fish room I have a 30 gal RO/DI storage container, a 30 gal mixed sw container, 2 - 20 gal quarantine/hospital tanks (for tank transfer method), 1-20 gal QT currently housing a yellow watchman goby and pistol shrimp, 2 reactors (carbon and GFO) storage for RO/DI membranes, alk, Ca, Mg, test kits extra pumps, power heads etc. Then I have 2 counters, one with the 3 - 20 gal tanks and another for doing testing and repairs for pumps and things. Funny how if you have the space, it fills up with stuff without even trying Not enough room for a TV or La-Z-boy though. Hmmm, I feel a reno coming on

Sounds like mine. TV ( 12" ), speakers from house main, separate stereo, PC etc, Beer Fridge, A/C
It's a 10 x 12 front bedroom that started off as my office. The DT is a 75g and the sump is a 50g
Build is linked below

Mines just the space under the stairs. I would add a picture but am very embarrassed by the mess right now. It's about 7' x 4 at most but works well. It supply's my 200g directly above.

Loudest part of my system would be the nagging sound I hear on a regular basis about how much time and money I spend on the tank.
