I am very interested in following this tread as my wife and I are wanting to do the same thing. I would like to keep in contact with you on how it goes.

mine is permanent, I used the epoxy for rock, mind you my aquascape is quite small, but the epoxy allowed me to stack them nearly 15" high(the height of my tank) with no concern

I'd do a healthy mix of both.

Permanent the caves and just stack the foundations.

From what i can see on the site ( calling later today ) u need to contact them for a Canadian distibutor idk if u can even buy right from them

I used acrylic rods, I can slide the rocks off the rod if I need to, and switch them around if I feel the need to.
