We aren't supposed to. When its shipped outside the province they shouldn't charge the pst portion but that may have changed since it became the hst. All I know is I buy very little from BC now.

I just talked to someone about a shipment from.brs and they charged %15. When he complained they said that's the way it is.

You should only be paying the tax required by the province the goods are shipped to. The stores can't keep the tax money they have to be remitted to their designated governments. BRS only ships via UPS who charges brokerage fees. BRS puts this fee into their price up front so the customer doesn't get a surprise bill from UPS, this is probably the extra charge.
