Hmm I didn't know about the live aquaria database. Would this this still be used if it was hobbyist oriented? It would be written by the community

That is a good reference Muck. The problem I find is vendors tend to name the corals instead of giving a scientific name(or the wholesalers don mark them) and furthermore everybody uses different lighting

i think this would be an amazing idea, sure there are hundreds of crappy websites online but the problem is that i have to navigate from website to website trying to find out if this fish is aggressive or not or if this coral needs this or this. i have to agree that i often find myself on libe aquaria because its really easy to navigate but the info seems incomplete.
i vote HECK YES!!!

Any stile would be better IF you can see the picture first instead of scientific name. Because if you don't know the name (that is the reason you looking it up in the first place) it will take hours to click on all names to see the picture you are looking for.
So pictures first (can be small) descriptions second.
