2 - 150w MH should be just fine with the brace as long as you can keep it clean. You might get a slight shadow but not enough to make a difference with LPS and Softies.

As long as you keep the center brace clean it really shouldn't be an issue at all. I honestly don't think you would have any issues with SPS either, although upgrading to 250 watt halides would be the better choice for SPS, so I wouldn't be concerned about lacking options.
