I have a 180 gallon SPS display. I bought two tune 6105's, I thought they might not do it for me, but I was way wrong!
Two is more than enough with the 24v electrode installed, tank looks like a torrent on the surface. Polyps are dangling out, I don't think you'll need anything more.

PS- there is no real savings when buying the pump kits, so you can add one at a time if your budget is tight. If you buy both and the controller you save less than a dollar. Lol

The 6205 costs way more and flows not much more than the 6105 according to the ecotech 'flow study'. I don't think Tunze has released the retrofit to bring those pumps closer to where they should be yet.

I run 4x6105 on my 400 and I ramp from 30% to 100% and it's more than enough right now. I only have one of them on a 24V jumper I might add. I have two in the back/bottom of the tank blasting across the length... sets up a nice gyre flow and I have 2 on the rear pane blasting across to the front but higher up so as to not disrupt the gyre too much.

Have you considered a wavebox? I had one on my big tank before I shut it down and absolutely loved it. The corals loved it too, I got awesome polyp extension and my skimmer seemed to perform better.

I bought one used from another canreefer. I ended up having to do some repairs to it and just put it in the tank less than 3 days ago. I don't like it.. I can't get it tuned properly and it makes no wave. I think it's because of my rockwork or my eurobrace is in the way and doesn't allow it to come out of the water enough to create a wave? Or something. It just doesn't seem to work as it should. Still not enough flow with it in the tank unfortunately, and the noise freaks the fsh out and they won't go near the side of the tank where it is.
