http://www.jlaquatics.com/product/cl...g+Magnets.html I do not leave it in the tank I alway take the stainless blade out, don't like the idea of it rusting in the tank. Great product, gets in all the corners and below the sand line. |

![]() Can SS blades be used for acrylic tanks? I have been using the plastic Kent scrapers, and having a real hard time keeping the coraline off mine, especially at the bottom near the sand line. The plastic is supposed to be acrylic safe, but with all my vigorous scraping, bits of sand and coraline sometimes get caught in my scraper, and still make scratches.
My new tank downstairs is all glass, and much easier to clean.

![]() I use a magnafloat for the loose stuff, and then once and a while I take a straight blade to the tank. cheap and easy seeing as I get 100 straight blades for $9.00 lol
