Thanks Wes, I hate disapointing the approval queen. took long enough for me to give in to her to miss the gun.

Funny story with these clams...

As most of you know, we have been trying to get these for years, and the anticapation was amazing. I was like a kid before Christmas.

We arrive at the Edmonton Airport, and were told we had no documents for this order. For those that have done inporting before, you know you can get away with photocopies. Unfortunately with CITES permits you require the original (No exceptions). My Jaw dropped when they said they could not find the permits, lucky us, they had them on the next flight (45 mins later).

Long story short, we spent over 4 hours dealing with customs/air cargo to bring this order in finally.

Pretty much cleaned out the supplier, and they don't know when their next order from the farm will be.

I hate CITES, just wait until Dec.2012 when CFIA gets their claws into this business too.

So enjoy all!

As many of you that have pre-order have made your picks, I will update the pictures of the remaining clams later today as some of them may not have been too photogenic yesterday.

The rest of the clams will be avaliable starting Friday morning.
