i didnt like the fact alot of people were sellings things like aiptasia, cheato high priced rock and mainstream tanks for big money to people and familys who didnt know any better....not honorable

haha well same here sometimes i just get questions i have no clue about, my offer was more or less just to help people interested in the basics i mean the fun part of the hobby is the learning of it anyways it just helps to have someone to help you get over that first hump kinda like teaching to drive i can show how the gas and breaks work but its up to you where you go

see no my fathers idea of teaching me to drive was go in the parking lot do donuts.. sooo that doesnt work for me lol. but for me the fun part is designing the tank and in my case now building from almost scratch (or i should say crack) ppl told me never to have the return line deep in the tank may flood your house.. i defied that and i am defying it again. i love the chllenge of hiding all teh powerheads and pumps. i lose alot of sleep over it but honestly when the tank is done i dont know what imgoing to do with myself

well yes i do i am going to build my niece a tank for college lol

if you do want to go that route why not have a super high sump on the incase water was to syphon or whatever:P

seems like alot of people go for small sumps of 20" or slightly higher/lower on my 90g i use a 75g tank for a sump even if half my tank was to find its way to the sump i would still be covered:P

whats life without a little risk.. seriously tho my 50 has the return lined inthe middle of the tank but i have devised a way to syphon break the plumbing so i dontlose any tank water on power outage. it works well tehony downside on teh 50 is i have to change teh air tubes every 3 months orclean themout of algea so im doing it slightly changed on the 180

my 90 has a 20g sump 50 has 33g sump and 180 will have a 50g sump. regretfully all sumps must be below tank. all in all i dont advise ppl too much because i may be liable for my brain activity and its thought patterns lol

edit id end up being the cause of a drama run thread lol
