Default Snowboarding Fernie BC

Spent the long weekend in Fernie.

Absolutely the best snow i've ever snowboarded. It snowed over 45 cm the week before and then 17 cm the night before

it was amazing.

heres a video i made, Me in the white, and my buddy in the black

A snow sliding thread! Nice work on the vid & for sure great conditions. I was on a backcountry trip to Boulder Hut last week. It's a fly in location a little farther west of Fernie, nearer to Kimberley. Flurries early in the week, a couple of bluebird days to get up high in the Alpine, then it started puking snow Friday evening & continued all day Saturday. By the end of the day we were up over our knees in the dry cold smoke. Hard to beat the pow of the BC interior. Returned to Vernon/Silver Star to find it had dumped pretty good here as well!

Posted a few photos of the trip to my Windows Live Sky Drive. Hope the link below works. Have a ton more photos, but haven't uploaded them yet. A bit more work earning your turns, but no crowds to contend with & fresh tracks all week, shared by a small group of 5 guests, 2 guides, a guide in training. Our chef Allison & a chap from Argentina who was helping out at the lodge would join us on the odd day as well.
