Can you tell if your system is good or bad from looking at the skimmer

then i def wouldnt worry about it the fish are happy and theres no ill effects on your tank the old saying goes if it aint broke dont fix it

you can also set your skimmer to get a drier skim it takes awhile for the tuning to set but it wont fill as fast
