what is oceanic corals ? is it a reef store ?

Hi all,

I am alive and kicking and the store is in full operation. Due to my many maintenance contracts, there are times where I am called out to deal with equipment issues or livestock issues. This unfortunately forces me to leave the store.

Also, during the week our livestock shipments arrive and I have to travel to the airport to pick up the livestock. With customs and dealing with airlines sometimes the pick up takes longer then anticipated. Usually if I'm out getting livestock I am away for at least 4 hours in total just to pick up the shipment from Vancouver.

So if you do call the store, please leave a message and I will call you back.

Having said that, I've just received a great shipment of Vanuatu fish and the Tiger Flame Angels are tiny and cute. Great Color on them. Other livestock that came in are pairs of Watanabe Angels and pairs of Blue throats Triggers and lots of nice tangs in stock as well.

For corals, we have tons of Candy Apple Red Palys available and will be on sale this weekend. Our SPS system ran into some chemistry inbalance for the past few months and the colors are starting to finally come back so pics will be forthcoming.

We are expecting a great frag order consisting of about 100 pces of Tyree and other signature corals. And I'm also expecting a Bali Cultured coral and fish shipment to arrive sometime this week.

Also, I received a shipment of SWC skimmers in and the 180 and 230 arrived. The 230 uses an Askoll pump that can take the same impellers as the BK skimmers. Performance is almost just as good once the impellers are upgraded. Inexpensive way to get great performance almost equaling that to BK.

I sold the front 8' tank that housed all the large fish and will be setting up another 8'er with starphire glass. I am planning on converting that one into our display FOWLR and the Gem Tang will move over and hopefully I will finally be able to add the Conspiculatus Angel with it as well.

I will be closed next Sunday (Feb 12) as it is the only day that one of the local high school has available for me to set up a marine research center for them. It will be a full day install so I will be closed all day Sunday. Please be aware if you decide to venture out and visit me.
