This thread reminds me of something I read recently. Yesterday I read a news article where a good samaritan heard a woman screaming from her car, ran over to help as she was being car jacked, only to be shot dead in front of his two kids Yes, he was a hero and saved a life. Very sad though.

on survival courses they'll usually say people suffering from hypothermia may start removing their clothes. Hope the guy wasn't wandering around lost
