I am looking for some dragonface pipefish as well. They are said to eat acropora eating red bugs and black bugs, sor very befinicial for a SPS reef tank.

true but what ive been reading is that they dont eat fast enough to finish a red bug population so useless for it plus its hit or miss same with feeding prepared foods hit or miss.my theory is since they hunt copepods and copepods tend to grow better in lps or mixed reefs where tanks tend to be dirtier and heavy feedings that it can survive off a healthy pod population , and since they are not timid i may be able to get them on prepared.....still though no long term success anywhere that i can find.

id say go for it they are def know to be hardy it would be interesting to know how long they live for???

ive seen those they are very nice do you run a fuge??

im hoping i can produce enough pods for them i average almost 2:1 for liverock and run a large fuge with dsb, cheato, halimeda, caulerpa, mangroves and even some more macro showing up tomorrrow , i believe im gonna have to get rid of my six line hes just too much compition for food but ill monitor them closely for a week and see how it goes.ive had the tank for 4 mths now and its been running over 4yrs before me if i remember correctly. i do feed cyclopeeze, mysis, brine, nls pellets to my tank and i feed ultra clam twice a day lol im really hoping for the best im reading lots of low term success not much after 3 yrs so well see

yeah ya got to be picky i picked out my pair because they seemed to be very together and active wide open eyes, searching for food etc.

right now tonight they were seperated on each side of the tank and right now they are perched on the top of a piece of liverock with their tails wrapped together lol pretty cute i gotta say they def like each other:P
