Yasha goby, which has a nice fat tummy and eats mysis (candy cane pistol is under the sand mound)


Worlds fattest Caribbean pipefish (eats mysis like a pig! )

So for the life of me I could not get a decent pic of my (technically Doug's since I bought it for his as part of his Christmas present) candycane pistol shrimp but out of my millon attempts, here are the best pic's. Added pointy arrows to show where the pistol is.

You're just lucky your life did NOT depend on it

I find it very difficult to get the camera to focus on something tiny when there are other objects nearby that attract the focusing feature of our digital cameras. Perhaps a different lens would solve this for you so I vote you go out and spend several hundred on a new lens just to take pics of your peppermint pistol shrimp so you can post better pics of it for your fellow Canreefers
